The Brief

Design and build a roof over the existing dirt-floor cattle pens.

What we did

A large-span portal frame gable roof over the centre of the yards, with skillion sides to the east and west set to follow the natural fall of the ground. Round steel columns sit on concrete footings, detailed to protect animals from bolts and to protect the steel from animal waste.
